About
Angry and cynical is normally the state you will find me in, thus I pour my heart out here to keep calm! And yes, am passionate. About everything from development, cinema, to food, travel and politics, of course.

Hey!
I guess you have recently started your blog. The about me page still requires some personal touches
I read your article ‘Discarding ideological blinkers’ in the recent issue of Pragati. I really enjoyed it and will mail it to other friends later.
A negative factor partially canceling the ill-effect of biased text is the detached, morose manner in which we learn/are taught these subjects in school. Disinterest of the teacher soon percolates to the minds of the students. With impending board exams and JEE entrances, nobody really pays attention to what has been written (by attention I mean internalizing or having one’s own opinion). We remain insulated during school years. So whether they have praised socialism or written derogatory text about capitalism makes little difference to the minds cramming them for exams. It’s all the same!
But of course, JNU and socialism based curriculum does create credible damage to their perception about economic policies and their real effects. You’ve captured that comprehensively in the article.
I completely agree with you, Nitin Pai, Atanu Dey and all who speak of liberalization of the education sector!
I’ll spread the word now.
